Kai-Lan ChowKai-lan is a young girl (approximately pre-school to age 6) who shares her biculturalism (speaking both English and Mandarin Chinese) in her playtime adventures with her animal friends. Ye YeKai-lan's grandfather, Ye Ye, appears as the patriarch, sharing Chinese customs and traditions with his granddaughter. Ye Ye is the only recurring adult figure in the show. RintooRintoo is a rambunctious 5-year-old tiger who's best friends with Kai-lan. Rintoo has a thirst for adventure and thrills, but beneath the bravado he's a sweet and caring tiger who looks out for his friends. Voiced by Jack Samson |
ToleeTolee is a 5-year-old koala and one of Kai-lan's friends. Tolee wishes he was a panda. His obsession with pandas is revealed in the episode Kai-lan's Campout, in which he appears wearing a panda T-shirt and panda slippers while clinging possessively to a panda doll named Pandy. HohoAt 3-years-old, Hoho the monkey is the youngest of Kai-lan's friends. He's full of boundless energy, he's super good at jumping, and loves to DJ. Nothing makes Hoho happier than being the center of attention. Voiced by Angie Wu |
